But, in time, even stale beef declines like worn bickering, and the clamour of upbeat love soon peters to an inaudible clatter. Ask Marifa. The high-society damsel experienced the transience of love in undisguised hours, as she watched Mohammed’s love for her extinguish in random hours. After Marifa Whyte parted ways with her beau, she realized that sometimes, an end is just an end, and not a new beginning. As their love extinguished, so did Marifa fall in the estimation of her beau; even their friendship began to unravel. Their impassioned fairy tale dissembled like a pack of ill managed cards. The duo’s much celebrated love, w...

Image
President Muhammadu Buhari has quietly appointed his son-in-law as the head of Nigeria’s Border Communities Development Agency. Junaid Abdullahi, a retired pilot, assumed duties at the agency on a low-key on October 18. He was married to Zulaihat, Mr Buhari’s first daughter who passed away in 2012 from childbirth complications. She was 40. Mr Abdullahi took over from Jummai Idakwo, the former director of the agency.
