 STL Trustees has explained that the July 24 and 25, 2018 execution of the judgement on the property measuring 200.184 hectares situated at Awoyaya Area, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State, was in compliance with the Judgments of the Courts obtained in Suit Nos. LD/1911/04 and LD/420LMW/2015. STL through its solicitors, the Law firm of Messrs. Udah, Bala, James & Partner, had one month prior to the commencement of the execution of the court order on the property given notices to the trespassers to vacate the property whilst also giving an opportunity to those who had unfortunately purchased from some fraudulent indigenes to enter into negotiations with its solicitors for ratification and regularization of their purchase. This notice period regrettably elapsed without STL or its solicitors receiving any offers for regularization from any of the illegal occupants further to which it commenced execution on the said property. ...

The Founder/Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Jim Ovia, on Tuesday re-affirmed his support to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund by pledging an additional 150 percent of previous donations to the Trust Fund. He made the announcement on behalf of Zenith Bank Board of Directors during the recently-concluded parley with the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on 6 March 2018 at the Lagos Means Business forum at Eko Hotels & Suites. Lagos Gas Station Explosion Kills 10

Gas tanks at the Second Coming gas station in the Magodo area of Lagos exploded on Monday resulting in an inferno. At least 10 persons died in the inferno, according to Channels Television. The inferno, which was triggered by a spark from a car at the station, has already spread to surrounding buildings. The gas plant is located on CMD Road, opposite Magodo Brooks Estate. Operatives of the Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are currently at the scene. Bisi Kazeem, FRSC spokesman, has advised motorists to take alternative routes, saying the extent of damage is unknown at the moment. Source: cable
